Designed and supplied new lubrication systems plus high-performance open-gear lubricants for eight rotary steam tube dryers in a new ethanol plant.
Why we were called
A new ethanol plant was built in Iowa. PBMSC was contracted to provide new lubrication systems and provide open-gear lubricant for eight rotary steam tube dryers.
What We Saw
Lubricant consumption averages 250 lbs. per dryer per year. Gears are showing insignificant wear after nearly eight years in operation.
How We Helped
Single lubrication systems were provided for each dryer. A solid film lubricant was used to lubricate the gears.
